much like sync saw someone else's post and wrote a post about sync's daily drivers, i saw sync's post and wanted to do the same! or at least something similar.
i also gotta second sync (syncond) about not really splitting between digital and analog means of doing things bc sometimes things just work better for me one way than another, y'know?
so, without further ado:

- ๐ง email: gmail for Normie Shit, tuta for more online matters/things i don't want linked to my full government name lol
- ๐ notes/ttrpg stuff/wishlist/etc: obsidian !!! LOVE this app a lot. and in fact, i'm going to elaborate on some community plugins i use further down in this post!
- โ to do lists: ok hear me out: i use a small notebook irl and i actually just, write in it lol. marking things off as i do them is SO satisfying irl. i also keep track of like, upcoming appointments/etc in it, so it may qualify as my calendar as well? also, something else i like to use for to do things, esp irl as opposed to online, is spirit city: lofi sessions! really cute little creature collector/idler/pomodoro timer/etc etc!!!
- ๐๏ธ calendar: man tuta also has a calendar so i should absolutely take advantage of it but i just... don't. ๐ my little notebook suffices for the most part but notifs WOULD be nice...
- ๐ web browser: firefox for both desktop AND mobile!
- ๐ง music: mostly spotted fy for the most part unfortunately, but i DO have about 100gb of music (not enough) (never enough) from bandcamp and soulseek / nicotine+ (iykyk) that i play on my HiBy R1 sometimes!!! but it's still mostly spotted fy on my phone u_u
- ๐ books: kobo libra colour!!! and irl books, but i luvvv collecting ebooks, ehe!!
- ๐ฌ messages: discord, telegram
- โ๏ธ vpn: mullvad, For Now. i'm insanely disappointed abt the politics of one of the founders (sorry for linking some rando's tumblr blog but i did not reblog this post myself so) but i am paid until like november. ๐
- ๐ผ๏ธ images/etc: ok listen. yes it's gimp. sometimes photopea.
- ๐ฉป screenshots: flameshot for linux!!! LOVE this little thing. i don't often save my screenshots, just c/ping them suffices, and this is good for that!
- ๐ป operating system: linux mint!!! 22.3 - Cinnamon 64-bit specifically! babby's first linux, sure, but i REALLY love it.
silas community obsidian plugins i use
- Banners - this one is purely cosmetic but i like it a lot!
- Book Search - haven't really utilized this one yet (i intend to create a database of books/etc that i own, but, uh, time and energy), but it looks handy.
- Chronology - LOVE this one, i don't do much/anything with the data it gives me, but i Do like seeing when i last edited smth!
- Clipper - another i haven't really utilized but plan to! it saves as markdown pages (e.g. articles, etc) on the web into your vault! good for like, research and shit or just saving things so they're not gone forever when the publication's website folds...
- Dataview - another another i don't really use but have heard good things abt so i have it just in case haha
- Emoji Shortcodes - i like being able to easily add emojis, ok?
- Homepage - one i use, but am not utilizing Well imo, having seen the homepages of friends! opens a specific page/note upon opening obsidian!
- Image Converter - do shit with images within obsidian! don't use it much bc i try not to use a lot of images in obsidian lol but. handy.
- Media DB - like book search but for a lot more types of media! another i haven't utilized but Want To
- MtG Card Links & MTG DECK - magic ones i haven't figured out how to use yet LOL. wanna put my decks + cards i need in obsidian to make things easier.
- OmniSearch - good search plugin to have!
- Paste URL into selection - one of my most used! what it says on the tin!
- Plugin Update Tracker - tells me when things update + the pros/cons of updating!
- Recent Files - another 'what it says on the tin' that's just handy!
- Share Note - my absolute fave plugin and probably most used!! share a page out of your vault while keeping your css/theme/etc etc.
- Soundscapes - another i don't really use but like having! play music e.g. lofi radio, white noise, etc. from within obsidian!
- Style Settings - mandatory if u like tinkering imo.
